Job summary

Bell Textron Inc. in Piney Flats, Tennessee, seeks a Project Engineer Specialist to lead new product development and guide programs from concept through manufacturing start-up to production.

You will manage stage-gate cycles, coordinate cross-functional teams, and ensure delivery within budget and schedule while maintaining safety and quality. The role includes a strong emphasis on collaboration and innovation, with a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical/ aerospace engineering or related field required.
• 5+ years of engineering experience in project engineering, product development, and/or aircraft modifications.
• Aerospace/aviation experience or STC development preferred.
• Ability to lead projects from concept through certification to production.
• Familiarity with stage-gate product development methodologies and aircraft structures knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage new product development initiatives and related engineering projects within budget and schedule constraints.
• Manage projects through the stage-gate development cycle.
• Lead multiple concurrent projects across cross-functional teams.
• Drive product development through manufacturing start-up and transition to production.
• Interface with internal departments and customers to translate requirements into statements of work for Design and Certification Engineering.
• Provide design support for new products and aircraft systems.
