Job summary

Ardurra is seeking an experienced Aviation Project Engineer to join our Aviation Group in Cheyenne, WY. A PE license is preferred but not required. This role offers relocation assistance and a signing bonus for qualified candidates.

You will act as design lead for airfield projects, mentor junior engineers, and coordinate with owners and subconsultants throughout the project lifecycle. Travel is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in civil engineering required.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in airport consulting/engineering.
• Professional Engineer license strongly preferred but not required.
• Strong knowledge of FAA advisory circulars related to airport design and FAA grant process.
• Strong communication skills required.
• Proficient with AutoCAD Civil 3D and related design tools.
• Willingness to travel and work on challenging projects in a team.

Responsibilities

• Act as design lead for airfield civil construction projects with EITs and team members.
• Oversee and mentor EITs in grading design, pavement design, markings, and airport construction safety and phasing.
• Coordinate with owners, internal staff, and subconsultants throughout the project lifecycle.
• Present design concepts and alternatives during client reviews.
• Lead design during bidding and participate in construction inspection and oversight.
