Job summary

Nexplore Stockton, California is seeking an Aviation and Energize/PE After School Instructor to deliver in-person STEM, Digital Tech, Art, Life Skills and Fitness instruction to PreK-12 students. You will use provided lesson plans, curriculum and materials and report to a Program Success Manager.

The role is part-time, requires an AA degree or higher, 2+ years teaching experience preferred, strong communication, reliability, and willingness to complete mandatory training.

Qualifications

• AA Degree (or higher) required.
• 2+ years teaching/instructing preferred.
• Experience working with children.
• Educational (development or training) experience.
• Teaching degree or certificate is a PLUS.
• Must commit to the full proposed schedule.
• Great communication and presentation skills.
• Reliable transportation.
• Willing to complete mandatory training.

Responsibilities

• Follow a provided schedule, arrive on time and prepared to teach, and review lesson plans and materials prior to instruction.
• Deliver meaningful, standard-aligned instruction that fosters critical thinking and joy in learning.
• Engage in professional, responsive communication with the Program Success Manager and site personnel.
• Deliver instruction from Nexplore's collection of programs, using accommodations as relevant.
• Participate in family engagement efforts and empower each child to access and engage in Nexplore programs.
