Job summary

Piedmont Airlines, Inc. is seeking a Payroll Specialist to join the Payroll Department. The role emphasizes accurate, confidential biweekly or semimonthly payroll processing in compliance with federal and state regulations.

You will work with Human Resources, Benefits, and Finance to ensure data integrity, maintain records, and handle year-end tasks such as W-2s while providing timely responses to payroll inquiries.

Qualifications

• Proficient computer skills, especially with Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and Word.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Excellent customer service skills and a collaborative approach.
• Ability to perform detailed work accurately, confidentially, and promptly.

Responsibilities

• Process biweekly or semimonthly payroll for all employees in accordance with company policies and federal/state regulations.
• Collect and verify timekeeping information from employees.
• Enter data into payroll systems accurately and on time.
• Assist in resolving payroll discrepancies and answering employee payroll-related inquiries.
• Maintain accurate payroll records and ensure compliance with internal policies and legal regulations.
• Support with garnishments, tax withholdings, benefits deductions, and other payroll-related changes.
• Generate standard payroll reports as needed.
• Collaborate with Human Resources, Benefits, and Finance teams to ensure data integrity and consistency.
• Assist with year-end processing, including W-2s and other required forms.
