Job summary

Ascent Aviation Services is seeking a proactive Buyer in Marana, AZ. You will develop material plans using usage data, forecasts, and inventory policies, while securing lead times and tracking parts availability to ensure timely orders.

You will manage supplier performance, price competitiveness, and vendor catalogs, collaborating with marketing on bids and participating in inventories as needed.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Associate degree or equivalent education or experience preferred.
• Must read, write and understand English.

Responsibilities

• Develop material plans using historical usage, forecasts and inventory policies.
• Secure and maintain accurate lead times in the system.
• Track parts availability and provide status on all materials.
• Place purchase orders per material plan, including large orders with multiple deliveries.
• Initiate returns of early receipts and non-conforming items for credit.
• Monitor inventory balances for usage and disposition of inactive stock.
• Ensure vendors meet on-time deliveries with quality products/services.
• Maintain vendor performance data including cost variations and scheduling.
• Maintain vendors and catalogs for materials and services.
• Assist Marketing in pricing bids.
• Assist in periodic and annual inventories.
