JSX is seeking an Aircraft Parts Buyer to procure parts, tools, and materials for maintenance and operations. You will source vendors, negotiate pricing, and ensure FAA compliance while maintaining accurate records.

You will collaborate with Maintenance, Engineering, and Stores to align with flight schedules and safety standards, with after-hours support for AOG situations and a strong focus on parts traceability and vendor performance.

Competenze

• Understanding of aircraft part traceability, certifications (8130, Form One), and airworthiness requirements.
• Attention to detail.
• English language proficiency (read/write/speak).
• Ability to work effectively with minimal supervision.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Good computer skills with typing; experience in Excel and Word.
• Intermittent physical activity including bending, reaching, and prolonged sitting.
• High school diploma or GED.
• 2+ years purchasing experience in aviation or aerospace (preferred).
• Familiarity with IPC and AMM catalogs.
• Aircraft Landing Gear experience.
• Driver’s license required.
• Good communication and people skills.

Mansioni

• Parts Procurement: secure aircraft parts, components, consumables, and tools in alignment with maintenance schedules.
• AOG & Critical Purchases: manage time-sensitive AOG/MEL/NEF consumable purchases to minimize aircraft downtime.
• Supplier Management: evaluate and source from approved vendors, negotiate pricing, terms, and delivery schedules.
• Inventory Coordination: monitor stock levels and collaborate with Stores/Warehouse teams.
• Regulatory Compliance: ensure all purchased parts meet FAA and other regulatory requirements.
• Repair Orders & Quotes: review and source required parts from approved vendors; submit quotes.
• Documentation: maintain purchase orders, traceability records, and certification documents.
• Cross-Department Communication: work with Maintenance, Engineering, and Stores.
• Order Management: submit RFQs, monitor order status, and expedite shipments.
• Issue Resolution: address discrepancies in shipments, invoices, or fulfillment.
• AOG Support: provide after-hours and weekend availability during Aircraft on Ground situations.
