Job summary

Air Methods in Greenwood Village, Colorado, seeks a Surveillance and Operations Support professional to oversee the safe conduct of flight operations and monitor crew duty times in compliance with FAR rules.

The role requires strong written and verbal communication, the ability to analyze meteorological information, and coordination with pilots and control centers to maintain 24/7/365 readiness across the U.S. and international operations.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; 3-5 years related experience or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Thorough knowledge of Federal Aviation Regulations.
• Successfully pass knowledge and practical test, required of 14 CFR 135.619.
• Successfully pass FAA mandated Drug and Alcohol Test.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and oversee safe conduct of flight operations of the company’s aircraft.
• Monitor crew duty time limitations, currency requirements and aircraft status to ensure compliance with applicable FAR.
• Review all medical Flight Risk Assessments as required with the pilot-in-command in accordance with all applicable rules and regulations.
• Collect, disseminate and distribute all information regarding Operational Control problems requiring immediate attention.
• Report and record all irregularities involving flight operations safety or emergency measures.
• Analyze and evaluate meteorological information to determine potential hazards to safety of flight.
• Communicate information and data as required regarding hazardous flight conditions and pertinent safety information.
• Participate in recurrent training covering company operations policy and FAA regulations.
• Maintain current knowledge of operation manuals and regulatory requirements relevant to responsibilities.
• Other duties as assigned.
