Job summary

HNTB Corporation is seeking an aviation planner focused on aviation noise analysis. You will conduct analyses of aircraft noise impacts under NEPA, 14 CFR Part 150 studies, and Airport Master Plans, using AEDT, ArcGIS Pro, CAD, and data tools.

The role requires experience with FAA orders, GIS, and programming (SQL, Python, R, VBA). You will prepare concise NEPA documents, present to clients and agencies, and support a range of aviation planning projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a related field with several years of professional experience.
• Experience with aviation noise analysis and NEPA documentation preferred.
• Proficiency with AEDT, GIS tools, and data processing software required.

Responsibilities

• Collect and analyze noise model input data from FAA sources and airport systems.
• Develop aircraft noise exposure maps using AEDT and GIS.
• Prepare and defend NEPA documents and public-facing materials.
• Present methods, assumptions and results to clients and regulators.
• Coordinate with federal, state and local agencies on project scope and impact.
