Job summary

HNTB Corporation is seeking an aviation planner focused on aviation noise analysis and NEPA studies. Responsibilities include collecting data, building noise models with AEDT, analyzing flight tracks, and producing NEPA-compliant documents. Candidates will work with FAA orders and airspace guidance.

The role may support ALP, demand forecasting, and airspace simulations across multiple locations, including Salt Lake City, UT. Strong communication and GIS skills are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in planning or related field with 4 years of experience.
• Master’s degree with 3+ years of relevant experience acceptable.
• Experience with aviation noise analysis and NEPA preferred.

Responsibilities

• Collect, analyze and prepare noise model input data from FAA data and airport noise and operations monitoring systems.
• Develop noise exposure maps using AEDT and analyze flight tracks.
• Prepare NEPA documents and present results to clients.
