Job summary

HNTB Corporation is seeking an aviation planner focused on aviation noise analysis. Responsibilities include collecting noise data, analyzing flight tracks, and developing noise exposure maps using AEDT. Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Urban Planning, Geography, Engineering, or related field with 4 years of related professional experience.
• Master’s Degree in Urban Planning, Geography, Engineering, or related field with 3 years of relevant experience.
• Experience with AEDT is desirable and related to aviation noise modeling.

Responsibilities

• Collect, analyze and prepare noise model input data from FAA data and airport noise/operations monitoring systems.
• Analyze flight tracks and aircraft performance data.
• Develop aircraft noise exposure maps using AEDT.
• Perform advanced GIS analyses including population impact assessments and noise contour overlays.
• Write and prepare NEPA documents and other planning reports.
