Job summary

HNTB is seeking an aviation planner focused on aviation noise analysis. You will conduct NEPA and 14 CFR Part 150 studies, develop noise exposure maps, and support Airport Master Plans. Strong knowledge of FAA Orders 1050.1 and 5050.4B, Part 150, GIS, and data analysis is required.

The role involves client meetings, presenting analytical methods, and coordinating with regulatory agencies. A Bachelor's or Master's in a related field with several years of experience is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree with 4 years related professional experience or Master's with 3 years relevant experience.
• Experience with aviation noise analyses under NEPA and Part 150.
• Proficiency in GIS and noise modeling tools.

Responsibilities

• Collect and prepare noise model input data from FAA and monitoring systems.
• Analyze flight tracks and aircraft performance data.
• Develop noise exposure maps using AEDT.
• Prepare NEPA documents and publishable exhibits.
• Lead client meetings and present methods and results.
• Coordinate with regulators and maintain aviation databases.
