Job summary

HNTB Corporation is seeking an aviation planner focused on aviation noise analysis, NEPA compliance, and related environmental planning. You will collect data, analyze noise impacts, and develop exposure maps using AEDT, contributing to airport master plans and Part 150 studies.

You will also prepare technical documents, coordinate with agencies and clients, and present findings in meetings and public involvement sessions.

Qualifications

• Experience with NEPA, Part 150, and environmental planning studies.
• Proficiency in aviation noise modeling and AEDT.
• Strong written communication and report writing skills.
• Public involvement and stakeholder facilitation experience.

Responsibilities

• Collect, analyze and prepare noise model input data from FAA and airport systems.
• Analyze flight tracks and aircraft performance data.
• Develop noise exposure maps using AEDT.
• Prepare NEPA documents and technical reports.
• Lead maps, exhibits and presentation materials for projects.
• Coordinate with federal, state and local agencies on scope and impact.
• Attend client meetings and present methods and results.
• Perform GIS analyses including population impact assessments.
• Support ALP, forecasts, airspace simulation and environmental studies.
