Job summary

HNTB's National Aviation Planning + Environmental Planning Practice is seeking a Senior Aviation Planner with a proven record in aviation planning consulting, a passion for aviation, and the ability to lead complex multi-disciplinary studies for airports.

You will work on master plans, environmental permits, gate layouts, terminal modernizations, and related analyses, collaborating with airport owners, airlines, and sub-consultants across multiple offices nationwide.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Landscape Architecture, Planning, Environmental Planning, Urban Design, Architecture, Engineering, Urban Planning, Geography, or related field with 10 years related experience.

Responsibilities

• Perform a variety of highly complex professional planning, environmental planning, landscape architecture and urban design tasks.
• Lead production of plans, studies, reports, and environmental documents; coordinate contributions.
• Prepare and review budgets, invoicing, and responses to proposals; manage client relations.
• Lead public and stakeholder engagement and present information to the community.
• Provide guidance and mentoring to staff.
• Coordinate with clients, sub-consultants, and in-house personnel to complete tasks.
• Recommend process and system improvements for greater efficiencies.
• Support department leadership with strategic planning and staff development.
• May serve as project manager or task lead.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
