Job summary

HNTB Corporation is seeking an aviation planner focused on aviation noise analysis in the Los Angeles area to support NEPA, Part 150 and master planning projects. The role involves collecting data, developing noise exposure maps with AEDT, and coordinating with FAA and local agencies.

You will present methods and results, contribute to publication-quality exhibits, and assist in preparing NEPA documents and environmental studies. Strong communication and GIS skills are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s in a related field with specified years of experience.
• Proficiency with planning software and data analysis.
• Experience with AEDT and aviation noise modeling.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• PE, EIT, ACIP or CEP desirable.

Responsibilities

• Collect, analyze and prepare noise model input data from FAA and airport systems.
• Develop aircraft noise exposure maps using AEDT.
• Lead maps, exhibits and presentation materials for projects.
• Attend client meetings and present methods and results.
• Coordinate with federal, state and local agencies on scope and impact.
• Maintain aviation databases and QC procedures.
• Prepare NEPA documents and contribute to environmental studies.
