Heads Up Technologies, Inc. is seeking a hands-on design engineer for mechanical design and development across prototype and production units, from concept to manufacturing release and support.

You will own components and assemblies, work with senior engineers and the Mechanical Engineering Manager, and collaborate with Electrical and Software teams to ensure successful product integration and execution.

Qualifications

• BSME or equivalent required.
• 5–8 years post‑graduation mechanical design experience.
• Ability to produce technical drawings for internal/external use.
• Proficiency with CAD such as Solid Edge or similar.
• Experience with sheet metal, injection molding, or billet machining.
• Coordinate with EE & SE for multidisciplinary designs.
• Strong written and verbal communication.

Responsabilités

• Own detailed design work of mechanical components & assemblies.
• 3D modeling, assembly & component documentation, HALT testing, support tooling/fixtures.
• Prepare and present mechanical designs at design reviews.
• Participate in R&D and new product design efforts.
• Collaborate with Electrical & Software teams for integration.
• Support ECNs with existing designs.
• Support EOL efforts through analysis and design updates.
• Work with suppliers, tooling vendors, and manufacturing partners to optimize manufacturability, assembly, reliability, and cost.
