Job summary

The Brevard County Sheriff's Office is seeking an Aircraft Maintenance Technician to inspect, repair, and maintain law enforcement aircraft under agency procedures.

The role requires an FAA A&P certificate, 3 years of helicopter repair experience (1 year on major/minor repairs), and a valid Class E driver’s license; OH-58/206/UH-1H experience preferred. A 40-hour week with potential shift flexibility applies.

Qualifications

• Three years of helicopter repair experience, including major and minor repairs (at least 1 year).
• OH-58, 206, UH-1H experience preferred.
• High School Diploma or GED required.

Responsibilities

• Performs scheduled and unscheduled aircraft maintenance under Agency Air Support policies.
• Disassembles and reassembles airframes, engines and other components.
• Maintains logs of repairs and maintenance.
• Installs/reinstalls/removes avionics and related systems.
• Attends in-service training to update skills.
• Maintains ground support equipment as needed.
• Prepares routine and special reports as required.
• Regular, dependable attendance is essential.
