Job summary

Air Methods is seeking an Aircraft Mechanic with rotor experience to perform maintenance, repairs, inspections, and alterations on Bell 407 aircraft in accordance with company policies and FAA regulations.

Responsibilities include ensuring documentation accuracy, conforming to airworthiness directives, and participating in the SMS program. Candidates must have an active A&P license with 2–5 years of related experience and be able to travel up to 50% and work on-call shifts.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED and 2–5 years’ related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Factory airframe/power plant schools preferred, active/current A&P REQUIRED
• FAR 135 operations preferred

Responsibilities

• Performs inspections and repairs of aircraft and components in accordance with maintenance procedures, airworthiness directives, service bulletins, service letters, and applicable FARs
• Verify part numbers and serial numbers align with documentation during installation/removal
• Ensure maintenance documentation complies with FARs, policies, procedures, and manuals
• Participate in SMS Safety Program and follow related policies
• Maintain a clean, safe work area and address safety/compliance issues
• Advise Pilot in Command of maintenance issues affecting airworthiness
• Validate data in Status Reports for assigned aircraft
• Request parts to maintain inventory for prompt repairs
• Other duties as assigned
