Job summary

Aery Aviation, LLC is seeking a detail-oriented Materials Control Analyst in Newport News, VA to manage aircraft material requirements, kitting, and inventory reconciliation. You will analyze data, prepare Excel-based reports, and investigate discrepancies to ensure accurate records.

The role reports to the Materials & Procurement Manager with daily priorities set by the Materials Department Lead. Ideal candidates have 4+ years in inventory or related fields, strong Excel skills, and experience

Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience in inventory, supply chain, materials, reporting, or a related field.
• Strong Excel skills, including PivotTables and lookup functions.
• Ability to extract, organize, compare, and analyze data.
• Experience with ERP or inventory management systems (prefer Quantum MX).
• Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Review work orders to identify required parts, verify availability, and report shortages.
• Coordinate and perform work order kitting, including picking, labeling, and tracking materials.
• Verify parts issued, installed, removed, and returned, and identify discrepancies before closeout.
• Maintain accurate material and kitting records.
• Extract and analyze data from inventory, maintenance, and purchasing systems.
• Prepare and maintain Excel reports, spreadsheets, and tracking tools.
• Reconcile monthly physical inventory counts against system records.
• Investigate missing parts and discrepancies by reviewing transaction histories.
• Document findings and coordinate resolution of discrepancies.
• Assist with inventory accuracy improvements, material planning, and Min/Max reviews.
• Coordinate with Maintenance, Purchasing, and other departments as needed.
