Job summary

Piper Aircraft seeks an experienced Operations Manager to lead front line supervisors in producing high‑quality aircraft parts and assemblies, install and test aircraft systems per PPS and Piper drawings. Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Associate or Bachelor Degree preferred.
• Minimum five years of management experience in operations.
• Thorough knowledge of fundamentals of aircraft assembly.
• Ability to work flexible shifts including overtime.

Responsibilities

• Ensure team compliance with Piper QAM/QIM and FAA requirements.
• Perform duties as primary contact for new programs including staffing, budgeting and operational performance.
• Act as liaison between Engineering, QA, Production Control and other Manufacturing Support Teams to improve team performance.
• Interface with departments regarding parts, materials and quality issues to avoid or expedite stoppages or shortages on the line.
• Drive continuous process improvements including data analysis to improve quality of product processes, reduce costs and improve schedule attainment.
• Analyze, evaluate, and recommend resources to attain increases in production schedules across multiple departments.
• Supervise major troubleshooting and re-work efforts to ensure quality standards are sustained.
• Promote regular housekeeping to ensure a safe and efficient work environment for all team members.
• Foster support for company safety programs and require proper PPE usage.
• Ensure comprehensive training and cross training to minimize schedule delays due to labor constraints.
• Enforce compliance with personnel policies and direct hiring when required.
