Air Methods is seeking a skilled Aircraft Mechanic to perform maintenance, repairs, inspections, and alterations on company-operated aircraft in compliance with FARs, manuals, and policies. The role emphasizes accurate documentation, part verification, and active participation in SMS improvements.

You will work a demanding schedule with on-call rotation, travel as needed, and a strong emphasis on safety, quality, and teamwork. FAA A&P license is required, with 2–5 years of experience preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 2–5 years related aircraft maintenance experience required.
• FAA A&P license in good standing.
• Factory airframe/powerplant schools preferred.
• FAR 135 operations preferred.

Responsabilités

• Performs inspections and repairs of aircraft and components in accordance with maintenance procedures, airworthiness directives, service bulletins, service letters, and applicable FARs.
• Verify part numbers and serial numbers match documentation after installation/removal of components.
• Ensure all maintenance documentation complies with regulations, policies, and manuals.
• Participate in SMS improvements and be familiar with policies and procedures.
• Maintain a clean, professional work area and address compliance or safety issues as directed.
• Advise PIC of maintenance issues that could take aircraft out of service.
• Validate data in Status Reports for the aircraft being worked on.
• Order aviation parts to maintain inventory for prompt repairs.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
