Job summary

West Star Aviation Inc. is seeking an Avionics Maintenance Technician in Wheeling, IL. This full-time, on-site role involves troubleshooting and repairing avionics to the component level, installation/removal of panels, and customer-facing project support.

Strong communication and self-motivation are required, with FAA guidelines followed at all times. Ideal candidates hold a high school diploma with avionics training preferred; a valid driver’s license or passport is a plus.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; avionics factory training preferred.
• A valid driver’s license and/or passport is ideal but not mandatory.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and repair avionics units to component level (Navs, Coms, Pulse, Radar, Audio, Autopilot).
• Perform general avionics support on aircraft, including removal/installation of panels and components.
• Communicate with customers and assist in project management, pricing and support roles.
• Work independently on projects and follow FAA guidelines.
