Elite Line Services in Los Angeles, CA is seeking an entry-level Maintenance Assistant to support technicians in maintaining Baggage Handling Systems and Passenger Boarding Bridges at the airport. This role involves basic maintenance tasks, inspections, and adherence to safety procedures.

You will read manuals, work under supervision, and build experience through on-the-job training while handling physical tasks in tight or elevated spaces.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Minimum 1 year mechanical experience or ability to pass a mechanical aptitude test.
• Able to work a non-traditional schedule including weekends and holidays.
• Airport environment experience preferred.
• Experience with conveyors or passenger boarding bridges preferred.

Responsabilités

• Assists with preventive, routine and emergency maintenance, clear system jams, and shift inspections.
• May diagnose equipment failures under the guidance of senior personnel; ensures equipment is running safely.
• Reads and interprets repair manuals, basic schematics and supervisor instructions.
• Works in tight and/or high spaces using PPE and fall protection equipment.
• Completes forms connected with work assignments and follows established procedures.
