Job summary

Elite Line Services (ELS) in North Charleston, SC, is seeking a Maintenance Technician to perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on Baggage Handling Systems and Passenger Boarding Bridges. The role includes mentoring fellow technicians and guiding tasks in the absence of senior staff.

The candidate should have basic mechanical/electrical experience, strong reading of manuals/schematics, and the ability to work in confined spaces with PPE, while complying with all safety policies.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Minimum 2 years of mechanical or electrical experience.
• Willingness to work non-traditional schedule including weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Completes maintenance and repair of Baggage Handling Systems and/or Passenger Boarding Bridges.
• Mentors, trains and assigns tasks in the absence of Senior Technicians/Supervisors.
• Performs preventive, routine and emergency maintenance; clears jams; inspections; adjustments.
• Diagnoses equipment failures with guidance from senior personnel.
• Reads repair manuals and basic schematics; follows supervisor instructions.
• Works in tight spaces with PPE and fall protection; adheres to safety policies.
• Completes forms and documents work per procedures; performs additional duties as required.
