Job summary

West Star Aviation Inc. is seeking a Falcon Aircraft Maintenance Technician for the 2nd shift in East Alton, IL. This on-site role features a broad range of mechanical tasks on aircraft and related systems, including removal/installation of panels, troubleshooting, defueling, engine work, and equipment operation.

Strong communication in English is essential. Ideal candidates bring a high school diploma and an Airframe/Powerplant license with varying years of aviation maintenance experience

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• A valid driver’s license is ideal; a valid passport is a plus.
• Airframe or Powerplant license is required for AMT roles; Airframe license preferred.
• 0-2 years of aviation maintenance experience (AMT I).
• 2-4 years of aviation maintenance experience (AMT II).
• 4-6+ years of aviation maintenance experience (AMT III).
• 6+ years and master level expertise (AMT IV) recommended.

Responsibilities

• Performing general mechanical tasks on aircraft and related systems.
• Removal and installation of panels and components.
• Troubleshooting and problem-solving aircraft system/component issues.
• Defueling aircraft and engine removal/installations.
• Operating ground support equipment and inspecting aircraft and components.
• Maintaining and repairing shop facilities, equipment and tooling.
