Job summary

West Star Aviation Inc. is seeking an Aircraft Maintenance Technician (AMT) at our Minneapolis location.

The role involves, from day to day, mechanical work on aircraft, troubleshooting electrical and hydraulic systems, and supporting inspections and certifications. You will join a team dedicated to safety, quality, and on-time performance, with opportunities to grow through tiered AMT levels (I–IV) based on experience and licenses.

Qualifications

• Airframe or Powerplant license required; Airframe license preferred.
• 0–2 years of aviation maintenance experience (AMT I).
• 2–4 years of aviation maintenance experience (AMT II).
• 4–6+ years of aviation maintenance experience (AMT III).
• 6+ years of aviation maintenance experience (AMT IV).

Responsibilities

• Perform general mechanical tasks on aircraft and related systems.
• Remove and install panels and components.
• Troubleshoot and resolve aircraft system issues.
• Defuel aircraft.
• Perform engine removal and installation.
• Operate ground support equipment.
• Inspect and evaluate aircraft and components.
• Assist in taxiing and performance runs.
• Maintain shop facilities and tooling.
• Navigate electronic training manuals and maintenance databases.
• Communicate in English.
• Carry out other duties as assigned by supervisor or management.
