Job summary

Air Methods Corporation seeks a skilled Aircraft Mechanic at our Truckee base. You will perform inspections, repairs, and alterations on Company aircraft per FARs and manuals, ensuring accurate documentation and operational readiness.

Expect 25–50% travel, on-call nights/weekends, and a requirement to live within an hour of the base. Required is an active FAA A&P license with 2–5 years’ related experience, familiarity with RAMCO ERP, and the ability to work a flexible schedule including overtime

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED and 2–5 years’ related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Factory airframe/power plant schools preferred, active/current A&P REQUIRED.
FAR 135 operations preferred.

Responsibilities

Performs inspections and repairs of aircraft and components in accordance with maintenance procedures, airworthiness directives, service bulletins, service letters, and FARs.
Verify part numbers and serial numbers match documentation upon installation or removal.
Ensure maintenance documentation complies with regulations and manuals.
Participate in the company SMS continuous improvement program and follow safety policies.
Maintain a clean, professional work area and advise PIC of any maintenance issues.
Request parts to maintain inventory for prompt repairs and operational readiness.
