Job summary

Aviation Institute of Maintenance is seeking a Program Coordinator to lead the Aviation Maintenance Technician program at our Chicago campus. You will supervise faculty and staff, coordinate curriculum, and manage daily operations to ensure student success and regulatory compliance.

role requires FAA mechanic certification with A&P ratings, plus 3+ years of aviation maintenance and teaching experience, and strong administrative skills.

Qualifications

• FAA Mechanic Certificate with Airframe and Powerplant ratings is required.
• Minimum of 3 years related aviation maintenance experience and 3+ years teaching experience preferred.
• Strong administrative and leadership capabilities in an educational setting.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate all aspects of the Aviation Maintenance program, supervising faculty and staff and handling daily operations.
• Assist in curriculum development, course materials, scheduling, and equipment management.
• Conduct instructor and course evaluations and participate in meetings and professional training.
• Lead staff interviewing, hiring, and disciplinary actions; serve as substitute instructor when needed.
• Monitor student performance and ensure compliance with program curriculum and regulatory requirements.
• Maintain documentation and communication through Campus Nexus for attendance, progress, and transfers.
