Job summary

Sierra Nevada Corporation is seeking an entry-level Material Planner I in Dayton, OH to support material planning, supply management, and manufacturing processes. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to meet production schedules and ensure seamless flow of materials across the product lifecycle.

This role involves reviewing maintenance work packages, coordinating with Engineering and Maintenance, and using MRO software to track parts and data.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent plus 0–2 years in a related field.
• Aviation maintenance planning or similar experience.
• Awareness of FAA regulations and aircraft maintenance programs.
• Awareness of maintenance tracking and MRO software systems.
• Ability to read and interpret maintenance manuals and other technical documentation.
• Excellent organizational, communication, and cross-functional coordination skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop, review, and issue detailed maintenance work packages, task cards, and job routings for scheduled inspections and repairs.
• Forecast and plan long-range maintenance requirements based on aircraft utilization and regulatory directives.
• Coordinate with Engineering, Materials/Supply Chain, Maintenance, and Quality Assurance to ensure parts and data are available.
• Maintain and update maintenance tracking systems to reflect current aircraft status.
• Analyze maintenance program data to identify trends and optimize task packaging.
• Ensure compliance with FAA regulations, airworthiness directives, and service bulletins.
• Prepare and present maintenance forecasts, capacity plans, and status reports to leadership.
• Support audits and regulatory inspections with accurate documentation.
