Job summary

Kalitta Air is seeking an OJT Production Supervisor to lead the maintenance training team in Oscoda, MI. The role involves supervising staff, coordinating on-the-job training, and ensuring adherence to ACS requirements and FAA regulations.

You will monitor training quality, manage schedules, and align apprentice progress with 14 CFR Part 65.77 experience goals while maintaining a strong focus on safety and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• Airframe and/or Powerplant mechanics certification.
• Experience in aviation maintenance, technical operations, or related field.
• Strong knowledge of ACS tasks and FAA requirements.
• Ability to assess performance and provide constructive feedback.
• Strong communication, coaching, and interpersonal skills.
• High attention to detail with strong organizational and documentation skills.
• Ability to coordinate multiple trainers, tasks, and trainees.
• Commitment to safety and regulatory compliance.

Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor, and evaluate the performance of assigned staff.
• Supervise and evaluate OJT instruction by leads and trainers.
• Coordinate OJT schedules, training plans, and task assignments.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and aircraft manual procedures.
• Facilitate communication between maintenance staff and OJT personnel.
• Oversee apprentice moves/rotations to meet CFR 14 Part 65.77 experience goals.
• Audit OJT records and training interactions for quality control.
• Escalate performance concerns to the OJT Manager.
• Reinforce safety standards and regulatory compliance.
