The City of Fort Worth is hiring a Sr. Maintenance Worker for the Aviation Department at Spinks Airport. The role involves maintaining aircraft operation areas, signage, lighting, fences and facilities, with duties including mowing, grading and snow removal.

Requirements include a High School diploma, 3 years of maintenance experience, valid driver's license, and FAA-related certifications. Evening and weekend work may be required; long hours and on-call rotations are possible.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Three years general maintenance and/or construction experience.
• Valid Driver’s License.
• Must pass Drug Screen and Physical.
• Attain Full Movement Area Certification and FAA radio communication within three months.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance on aircraft operations areas, including mowing, grading and barricades.
• Repair taxiways/runways, signs, lights, fences and facilities as needed.
• Communicate with air traffic control and navigate restricted areas.
• Inspect equipment and complete daily operation reports and timesheets.
• Assist with snow/ice removal and coordination with vendors.
