Job summary

The City of Fort Worth Aviation Department at Spinks Airport is seeking a Senior Maintenance Worker to perform on-airport maintenance tasks, including mowing, paving, sign and light repairs, and facility upkeep within aircraft operation areas.

Ideal candidates have 3 years of general maintenance experience, a valid driver’s license, and the ability to pass a drug screen and physical. FAA Full Movement Area Certification must be obtained within three months of hire, with CDL preferred.

Qualifications

• Three (3) years of general maintenance and/or construction experience.
• Valid Driver’s License.
• Must pass Drug Screen & Physical.
• Candidates must attain Full Movement Area Certification for operating within runway environment and communicate with Air Traffic Control within three months.

Responsibilities

• Performs aviation duties to FAA standards, including mowing and maintaining grass in Aircraft Operations Area.
• Identifies maintenance needs and reports to supervision; performs preventive maintenance and timesheets.
• Herbicide and pesticide application as needed.
• Assembles and disassembles traffic control barriers and signs; assists with traffic control activities.
