Job summary

Textron Aviation Inc. offers a 10-week internship in Interiors Engineering (Industrial Design). You will join our team to work on interior development, integrating technology and human factors to enhance the cabin experience.

You will collaborate with experienced designers and engineers, learn from cross-disciplinary groups, and present your design journey and final solutions while onsite at Textron in Wichita, Kansas.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Industrial Design, Transportation Design, Product Design or related design discipline.
• Excellent visual communication skills and ability to convey ideas clearly.
• Experience with Adobe Suite, CAD modeling and rendering software.
• Strong sense of accountability and integrity.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Time management to support multiple concurrent projects.
• Ability to adapt to change and a dynamic environment.

Responsibilities

• Understand and follow the project design brief and deliverables on time.
• Conduct research, ideation, concept generation, and design refinement.
• Support Human Factor mockups to inform design development.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Interior Design, and other teams.
• Build engaging presentations documenting design journey and solutions.
• Participate in intern events and facility tours at multiple campuses.
