Job summary

JetBlue is seeking an Industrial Engineer to collaborate with operational teams and improve processes for higher efficiency. You will apply advanced analytics, modeling, and simulation to Airport Planning/Layout and Standards initiatives.

The role requires strong data synthesis and clear communication of findings to stakeholders, often with minimal direction. Travel and fast-paced environments may be involved as part of this position.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering or related field or four years of relevant experience.
• Three years of work in IE/OR/Systems Engineering or similar roles.
• Advanced statistics, modeling and/or simulation skills with MATLAB, R or Python.
• Excellent analytical and quantitative abilities.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency in Office suite including Word, Excel, Access and PowerPoint.

Responsibilities

• Use modeling/forecasting to analyze schedules and recommend changes.
• Apply analytical techniques to identify operational improvements.
• Conduct simulation and statistical analyses for capacity assessments.
• Propose new processes using Six Sigma, modeling tools, and simulations.
• Analyze data with SQL, Python, Excel to support stakeholders.
• Build business cases and forecast benefits for initiatives.
• Perform time studies to establish standards and guide teams.
• Lead cross-department projects and define improved processes.
• Mentor co-ops and junior engineers on project work.
• Support department strategy and cross-functional impacts.
