Qualifications

• SHRM-CP, PHR, or equivalent certification.
• 3+ years of progressive HR experience, with at least 1 year in a generalist or manager-level role.
• Strong working knowledge of employment law in a regulated, operational setting.
• Experience handling recruiting, onboarding, performance management, and HRIS systems.

Responsibilities

• Execute talent recruitment activities for operational and administrative roles, including pilots, aircraft mechanics, dispatchers, station operations, and support staff; coordinate with hiring managers on sourcing, screening, interviewing, and onboarding.
• Manage employee relations matters, including investigations, conflict resolution, progressive discipline, performance improvement plans, and terminations while promoting a just culture and safety mindset.
• Administer performance management processes, goal setting, and feedback cycles; support managers in effective coaching and documentation.
• Oversee compensation and benefits administration, including open enrollment, leave of absence management, and coordination with payroll and benefits vendors.
• Ensure day-to-day compliance with employment laws and maintain accurate employee records and HRIS data.
• Develop and lead the company Assistance Response Plan, ensuring integration and coordination with the Emergency Response Plan.
• Support department leads on qualification tracking, recurrent training, and workforce readiness.
• Drive employee engagement and retention efforts, including recognition programs, surveys, and culture initiatives tailored to shift-based and multi-base operations.
• Support organizational changes, restructurings, and new hire orientations with clear communication and practical process execution.
• Promote the company Safety Management System to increase awareness and engagement between all departments.
• Generate basic metrics and reports (turnover, headcount, time-to-fill, etc.) to inform leadership decisions.
• Serve as a primary point of contact for employee questions and manager support.
• Contribute to policy updates, process improvements, and continuous enhancement of HR service delivery.
