Job summary

Piedmont Airlines is seeking a Ground Support Equipment Mechanic to maintain and repair ground equipment and related vehicles in the Ground Handling Department. The role reports to the Regional Manager, GSE, and involves troubleshooting, preventative servicing, and keeping all gear safe and operational.

The position requires prior automotive mechanic experience or training, strong communication skills, and basic computer literacy.

Qualifications

• Previous experience or training as an automotive mechanic.
• Effective communication skills both verbal and written.
• Basic computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Repair and overhaul of ground support equipment.
• Troubleshoot and maintain equipment in a safe condition.
• Perform preventative and routine servicing.
• Maintain tools and support equipment in safe and operational working conditions.
• Keep work areas clean and free of hazards.
