Job summary

Textron Aviation in Wichita, KS invites motivated aviation students to a 10-week internship as a Flight Instructor to design and deliver flight and ground school instruction for club members and interns. You will gain hands-on experience under the guidance of seasoned professionals.

Pursuing a Bachelor’s in Aviation Management or related field with sophomore status or higher; FAA CFII/CFI, instrument rating, 200 hours PIC, and 50 hours PIC in the last 12 months are preferred.

Qualifications

• Pursuing Bachelor’s degree in Aviation Management or related field with sophomore status or higher.
• FAA Commercial Pilot Certificate with instrument rating and Single engine.
• FAA Second Class medical or better, able to obtain higher medical.
• CFI and CFII certificates required.
• 200 hours PIC; 50 hours PIC in previous 12 months.

Responsibilities

• Inspire the journey of flight by sharing experiences and knowledge.
• Act as a flight and ground school instructor for club members and interns.
• Conduct classroom instruction and safety-focused operations.
• Operate aircraft in compliance with FAA/ICAO regulations and club procedures.
• Maintain knowledge of aircraft models, systems, and avionics.
• Attend required training and support club members’ needs.
