Job summary

The Boeing Company in North Charleston, SC seeks an Airplane Equipment Installation Design Engineer (Associate, Experienced or Senior) to join our Equipment Installation team. You will develop and maintain electrical product detail, assembly and installation designs for aircraft, including racks, power panels, cable routing and harness details.

CAD experience with CATIA, SolidWorks, Siemens NX is required. Model-based definitions and data-driven design will be part of daily work.

Qualifications

BS in Engineering with Mechanical, Aeronautical or Electrical focus, or related field.
2+ years wire design/wire harness installation experience.
2+ years CAD experience (CATIA, SolidWorks, Siemens NX).
Model-based definition experience and ability to interpret drawings.

Responsibilities

Develops and maintains electrical product detail, assembly and installation designs.
Develops and maintains cable/wire harness detail and assembly designs.
Assists with engineering design disposition on discrepancies.
Follows processes and procedures for design and manufacture of electrical commodities.
Collects data to support statements of work and supplier capability data.
Reviews input for integrated design and system architecture.
