Job summary

The Boeing Company in North Charleston, SC is seeking a Mid-Level or Senior Technical Designer for Wing & Empennage LCPT. You will work on Wing Box sections, wing edges & empennage, developing and maintaining engineering product definitions and coordinating with partners. Key duties include design layout preparation, work transfer packages, and RCCA-driven investigations.

CATIA and MBD experience highly valued. Relocation is available per eligibility.

Qualifications

• Associates in Engineering with 5+ years in the engineering industry OR a High School Diploma with 7+ years in the engineering industry.
• 5+ years of experience developing and maintaining engineering product definition.
• 3+ years of experience using CAD Tools.
• Experience performing RCCA activities and data collection.
• Experience with technical writing.

Responsibilities

• Develops and maintains engineering product definition.
• Prepares design layouts and modifies existing designs.
• Develops engineering product definition.
• Develops statements of work, including design requirements, cost and schedule estimates.
• Coordinates and develops work transfer packages.
• Contributes to the integration of product definition across internal and external partners to provide a functional end-product.
• Investigates and resolves moderately complex manufacturing process or engineering issues.
• Verifies accuracy of engineering data produced by others.
