Job summary

AtkinsRéalis is seeking an Aviation Engineering Intern for Summer 2027 in Houston, TX. You’ll participate in focused training, attend team meetings, and present notes or results while collaborating with experienced engineers on airport-related civil projects.

Ideal candidates are pursuing a civil engineering degree with 60 hours completed in an ABET-accredited program, and have familiarity with Microsoft Office and CAD tools such as AutoCAD or MicroStation.

Qualifications

• Math skills to perform simple calculations; willingness to learn.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and experience with AutoCAD or MicroStation (preferred).
• 60 hours completed toward a civil engineering degree from an ABET-accredited program by the start of the internship.

Responsibilities

• Participate in focused training and team meetings; present notes or results.
• Assist in producing engineering drawings for airport projects (runways, taxiways, aprons, roads, parking).
• Research site conditions and regulatory specifications.
• Perform field observations of construction when appropriate.
• Take on other duties as assigned by supervisor.
