Job summary

AtkinsRéalis is seeking an Aviation Civil Engineering Intern in our Tampa, FL office. You will receive mentorship and support from experienced staff to help design and produce engineering plans for airport projects, including runways, taxiways, and related infrastructure.

You will assist with airfield geometric design, pavement design, lighting, and construction administration tasks, and occasionally perform field observations and quantity take-offs as part of your internship experience.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from an accredited program.
• 0–2 years internship experience or related exposure.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and AutoCAD/AutoCAD Civil 3D; strong analytical skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist experienced staff in designing and producing engineering plans and specs for airport civil projects.
• Contribute to airfield geometric design, pavement design, airport lighting, and construction admin tasks.
• Periodically perform construction field observations and attend weekly meetings.
• Assist with project quantity take-offs.
