Job summary

AtkinsRéalis is seeking an Aviation Engineering Intern – Summer 2027 to join our Houston, TX office. You will participate in focused training, attend team meetings, and present notes or results while receiving coaching to develop your skills.

You will collaborate with experienced engineers on airport and related civil projects, and assist with engineering drawings and field observations. The internship requires 60 hours toward a civil engineering degree in an ABET-accredited program by start

Qualifications

• Must have completed 60 hours toward a civil engineering degree from an ABET-accredited program by the internship start date.
• Strong math skills and willingness to learn new concepts.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office; experience with AutoCAD or MicroStation preferred.

Responsibilities

• Participate in focused training, team meetings and present notes or results.
• Receive coaching and mentoring to complete assignments and develop your skillset.
• Collaborate with experienced engineers on airport civil projects such as runways, taxiways, aprons and related infrastructure.
• Research site conditions and regulatory specifications, and perform field observations of construction when appropriate.
• Help produce engineering drawings for airport and airport-related civil projects.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
