Job summary

AtkinsRéalis is seeking an Aviation Engineer to join our Aviation Central Team in Houston, TX. This entry-level role provides hands-on experience in airport and civil projects, with support from senior engineers and exposure to drawings, field observations, and cost estimates. REQUIREMENTS: BS in Civil Engineering (ABET-accredited) and 0-2 years in a related field.

Proficiency with AutoCAD or MicroStation and strong computer skills. EIT preferred.

• BS in Civil Engineering from an ABET-accredited program.
• 0-2 years of experience in a related technical field.
• Good computer skills and standard office software; AutoCAD or MicroStation experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Overview

AtkinsRéalis is seeking an Aviation Engineer to join our Aviation Central Team. This is an entry-level position and is based out of Houston, TX.

Your Role

• Develop plans and drawings.
• Perform field observations of construction where appropriate.
• Research project site conditions, and regulatory agency specifications.
• Contribute to the development of specifications and permit applications.
• Prepare preliminary cost estimates.
• Collaborating alongside experienced engineers to assist in various operations production of engineering drawings for airport and airport-related civil engineering projects including runways, taxiways, aprons, roadways, parking lots, and supporting infrastructure.
• Perform other duties as the supervisor may from time to time deem necessary.

About You

• EXPERIENCE: 0-2 years’ experience in a related technical field
• EDUCATION: B.S. in Civil Engineering from an ABET accredited college/university.
• SPECIAL SKILLS:
  • Must have good computer skills and be able to utilize standard office software.
  • Experience with AutoCAD or MicroStation (preferred).
• PROFESSIONAL REGISTRATIONS: E.I.T. preferred.

Additional Information

Expected compensation range is between $65,00 - $85,000 annually depending on skills, experience, and geographical location.
