Job summary

The City of Dallas seeks an experienced Emergency Training & Exercise Coordinator to lead aviation emergency management training and exercises for DAL and the Department of Aviation. You will coordinate regulatory compliance, readiness, and resilience across the airport system and partner agencies.

You will design programs, maintain records, and support audits and after‑action processes. Strong communication, policy briefing, and collaboration are essential in this high‑visibility role.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Emergency/Disaster Management or related field.
• Minimum 4 years of Emergency/Disaster Management and/or Aviation experience.
• Experience in Training or Curriculum Development is required.
• Equivalencies accepted per listed options.

Responsibilities

• Develops and maintains Aviation Emergency Management Training Program.
• Designs and delivers aviation emergency training for internal/external stakeholders.
• Coordinates required training across the Dallas Airport System.
• Maintains training records for audits and program reviews.
• Plans and conducts all-hazards aviation exercises and evals.
• Supports After-Action Reports and Improvement Plans.
• Executes the MYIPP and aligns it with priorities and gaps.
• Ensures programs meet FAA, DHS/FEMA, and Texas requirements.
