Job summary

The City of Dallas seeks an Aviation Safety Compliance Specialist to lead comprehensive safety programs for its airport operations. You will plan, develop, and direct safety initiatives, coordinate with local, state, and federal agencies, and train staff to ensure regulatory compliance.

You will analyze safety data, monitor regulatory changes, manage budgets, and respond to safety issues across airside and landside operations. Strong communication and leadership are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Aviation Management, Safety, Emergency Management, Engineering, Construction Safety, Industrial Safety or related field.
• 3+ years of experience in Safety, Airport/Airfield Operations or Management.
• Knowledge of aviation safety programs, regulatory agencies, and incident management.

Responsibilities

• Directs and coordinates aviation safety programs for airside and landside operations.
• Identifies procedures to ensure compliance and mitigate injuries.
• Trains personnel on safety regulations and use of protective equipment; advises with airport stakeholders.
• Reviews data, prepares reports, and manages safety program budget; interfaces with agencies.
• Maintains knowledge of regulatory changes and updates safety protocols and training.
• Responds to safety issues in both airside and landside operations; supports compliance efforts.
• Participates in meetings and public speaking to communicate safety information.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
