Job summary

PDS Tech Commercial in Buffalo, NY is hiring an Electronic Technician to test, troubleshoot, assemble, and maintain advanced electronic systems used in aerospace and defense. This is a 12-month, full-time contract with a 2nd shift (4:00 PM - 12:30 AM) under a 9/80 schedule.

You will work with RF products, read schematics, calibrate equipment, and collaborate with engineers to ensure quality. A high school diploma and electronics knowledge are required; soldering and test equipment experience are

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Electronics knowledge gained through formal education, military experience, or hands-on work experience
• Ability to read, interpret, and follow technical drawings, procedures, and documentation
• Strong teamwork and collaboration skills
• Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality

Responsibilities

• Test and troubleshoot RF products, including RF microelectronics, amplifiers, switches, mixers, and related components
• Diagnose and troubleshoot digital circuit cards and integrated test systems
• Analyze equipment performance and isolate product malfunctions
• Read and interpret schematics, wiring diagrams, source control drawings, and technical documentation
• Perform RF tuning on microelectronic assemblies while working under a microscope
• Maintain and calibrate test equipment
• Record accurate test data and production information in quality and manufacturing systems
• Interpret test results and recommend corrective actions
• Complete required documentation and production records
• Perform production assembly operations on electronic and mechanical assemblies and subassemblies
• Work with precision tools and small-scale components requiring exceptional attention to detail
• Collaborate with engineers and supervisors to improve and update test procedures
• Follow all safety, ESD, FOD, and cleanliness standards
• Successfully complete in-house workmanship training programs
