PDS Tech Commercial has partnered with a leading aviation and defense innovator to hire an Electronic Technician in Buffalo, NY. You will test, troubleshoot, assemble, and maintain advanced electronic systems used in aerospace applications, supporting simulation and electronic warfare technologies.

The role emphasizes reading schematics, following procedures, and collaborating with engineers to ensure quality and mission success.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Electronics knowledge gained through formal education, military experience, or hands-on work experience.
• Ability to read, interpret, and follow technical drawings, procedures, and documentation.
• Strong teamwork and collaboration skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality.

Responsibilities

• Test and troubleshoot RF products, including RF microelectronics, amplifiers, switches, mixers, and related components.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot digital circuit cards and integrated test systems.
• Analyze equipment performance and isolate product malfunctions.
• Read and interpret schematics, wiring diagrams, source control drawings, and technical documentation.
• Perform RF tuning on microelectronic assemblies while working under a microscope.
• Maintain and calibrate test equipment.
• Record accurate test data and production information in quality and manufacturing systems.
• Interpret test results and recommend corrective actions.
• Complete required documentation and production records.
• Perform production assembly operations on electronic and mechanical assemblies and subassemblies.
• Work with precision tools and small-scale components requiring exceptional attention to detail.
• Collaborate with engineers and supervisors to improve and update test procedures.
• Follow all safety, ESD, FOD, and cleanliness standards.
• Successfully complete in-house workmanship training programs.

Position Details

Job Title: Electronic Technician
Job Type: Full-Time | 12-Month Contract
Location: Buffalo, NY 14221
Pay Rate: $28.00 per hour
Schedule: Monday-Friday | 9/80 Schedule
Shift: 2nd Shift | 4:00 PM - 12:30 AM
Includes a 30-minute unpaid lunch. Schedule may change based on business needs.

As an Electronic Technician, you'll play a critical role in the testing, troubleshooting, assembly, and maintenance of advanced electronic systems used in aerospace and defense applications. Your expertise will directly contribute to the development and production of state-of-the-art simulation and electronic warfare technologies that support mission success and national security.

What You'll Do

In this hands-on technical role, you will:

Required Qualifications

• Testing and troubleshooting electronic systems and assemblies
• Microelectronics assembly and RF tuning under a microscope
• Test equipment operation and maintenance
• Soldering and electronic assembly techniques
• Supporting or collaborating with engineering teams
• Defense electronics or Electronic Warfare systems
• Performance-driven manufacturing or production environments
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook proficiency

Pay Details: $28.00 per hour
