Job summary

Chromalloy is seeking an Electronic Technician to support maintenance, troubleshooting, repair, and reliability of advanced manufacturing equipment used to process aerospace components. You will diagnose electrical and electronic system issues, maintain high-vacuum coating equipment, and collaborate with operations, engineering, and maintenance teams to maximize uptime.

The role requires hands-on electrical/mechanical skills, reading schematics, and performing preventive and corrective

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Clear English communication in speaking and writing.
• 3+ years in industrial maintenance, electronics, or repair of manufacturing equipment.
• Ability to read electrical schematics and diagrams.
• Experience with PLCs, motor controls, VFDs, and instrumentation.
• Experience documenting maintenance activities and performing preventive maintenance.
• Strong teamwork and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair industrial electronic, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and control systems.
• Maintain and support EBPVD coating equipment and high-vacuum systems.
• Perform preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance to maximize reliability and uptime.
• Troubleshoot PLCs, CNC controls, motor controls, VFDs, power supplies, relay logic, sensors, and HMI interfaces.
• Repair and maintain vacuum pumps, electron beam systems, cooling systems, and other process equipment.
• Install, test, calibrate, and commission equipment to manufacturer specifications.
• Read electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, technical manuals, and engineering drawings.
• Document maintenance activities and equipment history.
• Support root cause investigations and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Collaborate with production, engineering, and vendor service representatives to resolve issues.
• Assist with facility and production equipment maintenance as needed.
• Participate in on-call rotations, overtime, and occasional weekend support.
