Job summary
Amentum is seeking an entry-level Aircraft Electrical Technician I to diagnose, inspect, repair, and fabricate aircraft wiring and electrical systems under supervision. You will disassemble, overhaul components, install and rig critical electrical assemblies, and ensure compliance with FAA procedures for fleet maintenance.
The role requires knowledge of AC/DC systems, troubleshooting, and wire harness fabrication, with Garmin experience being highly preferred.
Qualifications
- Possession of FAA Airframe Technician Certificate or FCC General Radio Certificate plus a valid Class-C Driver’s License; one year aerospace/aviation electrical experience may qualify in lieu of certificates.
- Garmin experience is highly desired/preferred.
- Knowledge of Aircraft AC and DC electrical systems, wire marking standards, electrical wiring fabrication, installation and repair.
Responsibilities
- Diagnose, inspect, repair and manufacture aircraft wiring and electrical systems and components.
- Disassemble and overhaul aircraft electrical components; install and rig electrical components and return to service.
- Design and fabricate electrical wire harness assemblies and electrical wiring schematics for fleet modifications.
