Summary:

The Aviation Electrical Technician I must demonstrate high mechanical aptitude and will inspect, service, maintain, troubleshoot, repair, and overhaul aircraft components while maintaining a safe work environment and following all company and federal rules/regulations.

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Troubleshoot, repair, inspect, modify, and service aircraft HVAC and Galley Systems.
• Perform and document work according to manuals and regulations.
• Maintain shop calibrated tools.
• Ensure work complies with technical and regulatory data.
• Perform work assignments as directed by the shop lead.
• Use appropriate inspection techniques and calibrated equipment.
• Comply with environmental, health, and safety policies.
• Record information and complete work in line with quality policies.
• Read and interpret schematics and drawings.
• Perform tasks safely and efficiently.
• Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Requirements:

• Technical Degree (Airframe and Powerplant Certification) or equivalent.
• 4+ years of relevant experience or 3 additional years of specific work experience in lieu of degree.
• Ability to teardown, inspect, requisition parts, assemble, test, troubleshoot, repair, and overhaul aircraft HVAC and Galley Systems.
• Ability to multitask and work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
• Good communication, organization, and computer skills (Microsoft Office).
• Willingness to work additional hours as needed.

Preferred Requirements:

• Airframe and Powerplant Certification or equivalent.
• 7+ years of bench work experience on HVAC Systems.
• Strong knowledge of HVAC, soldering, schematics, troubleshooting electrical issues.
• FAA Airframe and Powerplant Mechanic's License.
