Qualifications

• FAA Airframe and Powerplant License preferred.

Summary

The Aviation Electrical Technician I must demonstrate high mechanical aptitude and will inspect, service, maintain, troubleshoot, repair, and overhaul aircraft components while maintaining a safe work environment and following all company and federal rules/regulations.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, repair, inspect, modify, and service aircraft HVAC Systems and Galley Systems.
• Perform and document work per manuals and regulations.
• Maintain shop calibrated tools.
• Ensure work complies with technical and regulatory data.
• Perform work as directed by the shop lead.
• Use inspection techniques and calibrated equipment.
• Follow environmental, health, and safety policies.
• Record information and complete work in accordance with inspection procedures.
• Read and interpret schematics and drawings.
• Perform tasks safely and efficiently.
• Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Requirements

• Technical Degree (Airframe and Powerplant Certification) or equivalent.
• 4+ years of relevant experience OR 7+ years of specific work experience.
• Ability to teardown, inspect, requisition parts, assemble, test, troubleshoot, repair, and overhaul aircraft HVAC and Galley Systems.
• Ability to multi-task and work under pressure.
• Good communication skills.
• Detail-oriented and organized.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office.
• Willing to work additional hours.
• Ability to prioritize and work independently.

Preferred Requirements

• FAA Airframe and Powerplant License.
• 7+ years of bench work experience on HVAC Systems.
• Strong knowledge of HVAC and aircraft galley systems, soldering, schematics, troubleshooting electrical issues.

• Background check and drug testing required.
